THE WINTER ART GALLERY EXHIBIT

by the Students of Badin Elementary School

Badin Elementary students have been working hard in art this year. So far they've been focusing on implied textures, color mixing, and experimenting with different mediums to compare and contrast the finished art product and how it looks. They've used watercolor pencils, liquid watercolor paints, markers, oil pastel, paint sticks, and chalk. The results have been bright, colorful and interesting pieces to look at. 4th grade students completed chameleons in the jungle, 3rd grade is showcasing cats inspired by Laurel Burch. 5th grade did an amazing job with realistic bumble bees and the lower grades made some of the cutest mixed media chickens you'll ever see!

The congregation of First Presbyterian Church is invited to meet the Badin Elementary artists at the Art Gallery Reception on Wednesday, December 4 from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. in the church common area.
